Narrow Gate Outdoors was born from a passion for the slopes and a deep-rooted faith, merging the thrill of skiing with the profound principles of Christianity.
Founded by a seasoned skier who discovered both the joys of the mountains and a Godly calling on the same snowy trails.
Narrow Gate Outdoors aims to equip like-minded enthusiasts with skis that are not just gear, but a declaration of their faith in Jesus Christ.
Our Founder
Pablo Wenceslao is not just the founder of Narrow Gate Outdoors, but a passionate skier with over 30 years on the slopes, a PSIA-certified ski instructor, and a man deeply rooted in his faith. With additional certifications in Freestyle and children’s snow sports education, Pablo has inspired countless students across Northwest mountain resorts with his love for skiing and the great outdoors.
Above all, Pablo’s life is a testament to his faith. His spiritual journey and involvement with Christian outdoor ministries like Climbers with Christ highlight his commitment to merging his love for Jesus with his passion for the outdoors. His diverse career includes practicing architecture, serving as a university professor, and working as a product and experience designer.
In February 2024, while waiting in a lift line at Whitefish Mountain Resort in Montana, Pablo had a life-changing epiphany: there were no Christ-centered ski brands available for Christian skiers. This realization, combined with a calling from the Lord to create a company that glorified God and served as a tool for evangelism, led to the birth of Narrow Gate. Merging his love for design, skiing, and faith, Pablo founded Narrow Gate to inspire and equip believers to boldly express their faith on the slopes.
Residing near Spokane, Washington, with his wife and nine children, Pablo’s life off the slopes is as full and vibrant as it is on them. Together, they manage a hobby farm, homeschool their children, and actively participate in 4H and seasonal sports, always fostering a community bound by the love of Jesus.
